  • Species-specific cultivation instructions

    1. Traditional Pruning (Disbudding):

Pruning can increase fruit size and facilitate harvesting but requires time and careful identification of suckers versus main stems.
Removing suckers may cause minor wounds, so consider applying a healing dust such as maerl or green clay wash to help the plant recover.

    2. No Pruning:

Allowing the plant to grow freely without pruning results in smaller but more numerous fruits.
Provide more space, ideally 1 metre between plants, to accommodate the bushier growth habit.
    3. Two-Strand Training:

Pinch the main stem 20 cm above the ground, then maintain two lateral strands, removing all other suckers.
This method balances fruit size and quantity while managing plant space efficiently.
