Sowing, Transplanting and Harvesting Guide

  • Typical characteristics of the variety

    Vigorous, trailing vines

    Large, round fruits

    Cream-colored seeds

    Adaptable to various climates

    Requires warm growing conditions

  • Species-specific cultivation instructions

Sowing: Start seeds indoors 4-6 weeks before the last frost date or sow directly in the ground after the last frost.

Transplanting: When seedlings have 2-3 true leaves, transplant them to a sunny location with well-drained, fertile soil, spacing plants 1.5 to 2 meters apart.

Watering: Provide regular watering, especially during fruit development, but avoid waterlogging.

Harvest: Fruits are ready to harvest when the tendril closest to the fruit dries up, and the underside of the fruit turns yellow.

Other Considerations: Mulching helps retain soil moisture and suppress weeds; support vines with trellises to improve air circulation and fruit quality.
