Upright growth habit with deciduous foliage.
Biennial growth cycle.
Hardy to temperatures as low as -15°C.

Species-specific cultivation instructions
Sowing: Sow seeds from February to April in rows spaced 30 cm apart.
Thinning: Thin seedlings to 10 cm apart within the rows.
Watering: Moderate; increase during dry periods.
Harvest: Harvest from August to September when the leaves begin to yellow and dry out.
Other Considerations: Prefers light, loose, well-drained soil.
